Staff Accountant

Description

Dominant manufacturer, located in Southern New Jersey is looking to staff a Staff Accountant with previous accounting and financial reporting expertise. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, preparing financial reports, ensuring proper inventory management, assisting with internal controls, coordinating the month end close process, completing general bookkeeping tasks, recording journal entries, resolving accounting discrepancies, researching accounting data, and assisting with the annual audit and compliance process. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Support daily accounting functions

• Month End/Year End Close

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines

• Account Reconciliation

• Assisting with responding to accounting inquiries

• Cost Analysis

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements

• Internal/External Audit Preparation

• Ad hoc special projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 2+ years of accounting experience

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite

• QuickBooks/Oracle/SAP experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
