    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

    • The Akima Senior Finance Analyst will be a key member of the Akima team, responsible for all aspects of project analysis & reporting forecasting and process improvement as the Internal Business Development Project Control Analyst.

    • They will be setting up, maintaining and analyzing projects performed in the corporate development organization.

    • This individual will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) in all aspects of Financial Reporting of Business Development, Marketing and Communications Costs (including project setup, purchase requisitions, vendor / consultant invoice approvals, cost/variance analysis, EAC development, project reporting, communications to stakeholders).

    • Responsibilities also include coordinating with the subsidiaries' Presidents, Operations Managers, Business Development and Capture leads with monthly reviews and communication of project-level financial data and process improvement.

    • This individual will also work with the group finance representatives and FP&A to assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.

    • As a secondary responsibility, this individual will assist the Corporate Project Controls team on special projects and assisting with surge support.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree, master's degree/MBA a plus

    • Years of experience: 5+ years of Project Controls / Finance and or FP&A experience working for a Federal Government Contractor

    • Specific skill sets:

    • Solid understanding of all government contract types and related contract terms and conditions

    • Understanding of FAR/DCAA/CAS compliance requirements

    • Responsive to time critical deadlines

    • Deadline driver person that follows up on action items

    • Setup and run effective meetings.

    • Design and present PowerPoint slide presentations.

    • Setup indirect projects for Opportunity Deal tracking (charge codes)

    • B&P Spend analysis for Strategic Opportunities

    • Proposal pricing assistance / proposal reviews for Strategic Opportunities

    • Internal Spend reporting and analysis for each of the five groups.

    • Be a forward thinker that works with Project Control, FP&A, Finance, Corporate Development leadership and the Chief Growth Officer to anticipate the next steps in our reporting.

    • Manage expectations for Group, Business Development, Corporate Development VPs including the Chief Growth Officer and the Chief Finance Officer

    • Work with four leaders of the Marketing team to help them analyze their spend and stay on budget.

    • Update workforce in Costpoint for all BD / Corp Dev employees.

    • Perform Deltek Timesheet corrections when needed.

    • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work independently.

    • Systems:

    • Candidate is expected to master the following: Deltek Costpoint Project Setup (includes understanding the setup of the WBS, revenue, billing, ceilings, funding, PLCs, etc.)

    • Purchase requisitions and reporting.

    • Cost and schedule variance analysis

    • Experienced in using PowerBI.

    • Specific equipment and applications experience required: Proficiency with project setup, financial reporting, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint
