Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: Fullerton, CA (Onsite)

Robert Half is working with a reputable firm specializing in customs brokerage services. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join the team in Fullerton, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work 1-2 days per week onsite, providing essential financial support to the operations.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process vendor invoices and prepare payments accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all payables.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Generate and send invoices to clients for services rendered.

Record customer payments and manage collections effectively.

Bank Reconciliations

Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger on a monthly basis.

Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Credit Card Reconciliation

Reconcile credit card statements with receipts and records.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of credit card transactions.

CPA Firm Support

Provide necessary financial information and reports to the CPA firm for tax preparation and audits.

Collaborate with the CPA firm to address any accounting-related inquiries or issues.

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping roles, preferably in a similar industry.

Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar programs.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting or related field is a plus.

Previous experience in bookkeeping roles, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
