Banking Services Operations Associate III - Commercial Lending (Hybrid)

Overview:

Responsible for Commercial payments, payoffs and insufficient fund processing for Commercial Loan Operations, while adhering to Department procedures, Corporate policies, and Compliance, Audit and Legal requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete complex data entry updates, analysis and interpretation of payment, payoff or insufficient fund processing.

• Complete non-standardized note review and validation.

• Respond to or initiate standard requests.

• Complete non-standard exception and adjustment processing.

• Complete medium level complexity document to system quality control on activities completed.

• Handle low level escalation or special requests for payments, payoffs and insufficient funds items from the business.

• Provide intermediate level support for business line and partners.

• Submit refunds through paper or electronic general ledger entries.

• Become cross-trained in basic understanding of multiple disciplines and functions of the team.

• Utilize low to mid-level procedures over multiple disciplines and functions of the team.

• Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Associates' degree or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years' higher education and/or work experience

Accounting background

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 1 years' accounting mainframe systems experience
