  • The VP, AML Compliance Officer is responsible for oversight and the execution of the Management Control Assessment (MCA) program for CRIU and other AML functions globally. This position may also support AML Control Programs such as Audit/Issue management, Records Management, Third Party Management, Cross Border, and Data Privacy.

    The VP, AML Compliance Officer will also assist to ensure policy compliance, management of operational risk, regulatory adherence, and the institution of best practices relating to Management Control Assessment (MCA), and Issues, Audit Management. The ideal candidate must be a strategic professional who advises on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application in business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to governance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) as required by the MCA Standard including the assessment and appropriate approval of risk associated with business changes.

    • Support teams in the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework.

    • Assist in performing a detailed analysis on the identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommend holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in according with Issue Management and Escalation Policies.

    • Help contribute to the Lessons Learned, including monitoring of control breaches and dissemination and learnings across other business units for process improvement to limit the occurrence of similar future events and where similar risk exposure might exist.

    • Support the review and challenge process, on the effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks as required by the Control Standards, including implementation and operation, conducting the control monitoring, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for resolution.

    • Contribute to the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the MCA through controls prior to the execution of a process.

    • Support with risk and control assessments (QRA, ARA) or coordination for programs within various risk stripes and ensure sufficient subject matter expertise exists to enable management of these risks within the Business.

    • Assist in the monitoring of the adherence to the MCA Standard through controls after the execution of a process.

    • Provides guidance to AML officers and their business partners globally in all matters affecting the program and works closely with AML Operations and Technology to ensure the most effective use of tools and resources in the Monitoring process.

    • Drives various global projects to advance the Monitoring Risk Management Program and is a key contributor to many other strategic AML initiatives.

    • Identifies and analyzes AML risks, emerging risks, and regulations specific to transaction monitoring.

    • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision

    • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

    • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

    • 5 - 8+ years of experience in Risk and Control

    • Experience in Anti-Money Laundering preferred e.g. AML Transaction Monitoring and/or AML Risk Assessment and the development and compilation of policies and procedures

    • Balanced blend of analytical skills, problem solving, reporting and strong communication skills

    • Advanced organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and following up

    • Experience using databases and other tracking tools to enforce global consistency

    • Excellent writing and presentation skills

    • Experience working collaboratively across various areas of the organization and presenting to senior management
