  • Minimum qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Math, Econometrics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

    • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

    • Experience working with SQL, coLaboratory, Python.

    • Experience in data analysis and working with datasets or LLMs.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Experience using statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.

    • Experience analyzing ML models performance or working on LLMs.

    • Experience working with abuse, spam, fraud, or malware.

    • Experience working on product policy analysis and identifying policy risks.

    • Experience and understanding of statistical analysis such as regressions, hypothesis testing, and probability.

    • Excellent influencing, written and verbal communication skills, including presentation writing and delivery across a wide range of audiences.

    Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     • Help establish metrics to benchmark Generative-AI issues and quantify improvements. Develop datasets and run evals for engineers to evaluate and improve Search, labs, and assistant products.

    • Perform complex data analyses to derive insights that help identify and fight abuse across our products. Collaborate with other teams and functions: RAI, ResIn, Policy, Product Inclusion, among many others.

    • Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, challenge proposals, and identify risks. Manage multiple interdependent projects.

    • Improve tools through data analysis, technical expertise, and presentations to key stakeholders. Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements and identification of automation opportunities.

    • Analyze and debug escalations and identify trends that can indicate bigger product risks. Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage and review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive/sensitive content during the course of this role.
