  • Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Training Specialist . The GMP Training Specialist will support the Clinical Development & Supply training department. This position will report to the GMP Training Manager and assist in the development and maintenance of the training program. Utilize the electronic based training system, (Compliance Wire) for establishing training curriculum, monitoring training, re-training and certifications.

    This is a full-time position: Monday - Friday, days from 8am-4:30pm.

    Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business.     The Role

    • Partners with the Training Manager to oversee and lead in developing a training program within procedures and policies related to pharmaceutical packaging and supply chain processes.

    • Analyzing and assessing current training processes and sharing ideas for improvement.

    • Assist with the delivery of group and individual training for Clinical Development & Supply (CDS) associates.

    • Partners with the Training Manager to manage the onboarding of new hires and/or department transfers.

    • Help ensure timely adherence to (due dates) for Standard Operating Procedures (SXPs) and annual training requirements and re-certification activities.

    • Oversees and coordinates the work of Qualified Trainers. Meets consistently with Qualified Trainers to identify areas of self-growth and department opportunities within the realm of training.

    • Becomes an expert with navigation, retrieving reports and monitoring the Learning Management System. Also must be an expert developing and maintaining training curricula and department groups within the Learning Management System.

    • Supporting and creating the development of training guides and slide presentations.

    • Alerting applicable associates and/or supervisors and managers of upcoming and past-due training assignments.

    • Utilizing data (deviations) to identify and improve training curriculum and/or OJT Guides.

    • All other duties as assigned.

    The Candidate

    • High school diploma or equivalent certification required; Bachelor's degree preferred

    • Prior experience working as a trainer within an established training department, plus experience working in an office environment and using an electronic learning management system preferred.

    • Train-the-Trainer experience, highly desired.

    • Experience writing, revising and proofreading documents.

    • Material design experience.

    • GMP experience, highly desired.

    • Physical Requirements: On an average 8-hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen frequently. May require the use of a respirator.
