    What You'll Get to Do:

    In support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and under the direction from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), your primary focus will be to develop and maintain technical training curriculum to be delivered in all formats. You will be responsible to develop testing strategies to validate student level of knowledge and plan, schedule and execute training to support SEVP stakeholders.

    This position is located on-site, in Tysons Corner, VA.

    More About the Role

    You will manage SEVP's internal training needs by:

    • Maintaining comprehensive, accessible Training Resource Library

    • Developing original training series for staff, covering program missions and objectives, unit functions, and processes

    • Provide organizational and logistical support for virtual and in-person conferences

    • Employing and managing the use of existing technologies and developing innovative ways to incorporate new technologies in the development and deployment of training capabilities to meet the staff's professional development ana educational needs

    • Managing the maintenance and timely notification of standard DHS and ICE mandatory training requirements

    • Developing a thorough communications plan to ensure staff is informed of training deadlines

    • Developing and overseeing the reporting mechanisms for SEVP leadership and contract Project Managers so they can be kept informed

    • Assist SEVP's units and sections with the creation of training and instructional materials for basic and continuing training for their staff

    You will manage SEVP's external stakeholder training needs by:

    • Creating new content for government access and use

    • Ensuring that training is relevant to external stakeholders

    • Managing the maintenance of existing courses to include conducting regular audits and validity of lesson content

    • Conceptualizing and recommending new subject matter areas for course creation

    • Delivery of written lesson content and visual design

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field

    • Minimum of five year's experience relevant experience in training and curriculum development.

    • Must be able to obtain NACI (Public Trust) clearance / background investigation

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

    • DHS Secret clearance is highly desired

    • Experience developing and delivering web-based and in-person training

    • Experience facilitating training via Teams and/or Adobe Connect

    • Experience using Articulate 360 and/or Adobe Captivate
