The Technology Training Specialist is part of a cybersecurity training team. The candidate:
-- Ensures course learning objectives are met and can assess student needs and tailor the course delivery to meet student needs.
-- Works cohesively with other instructors on exchange of ideas for innovative instructional delivery.
-- Tracks assigned contract deliverables to include course content updates and reports following instruction, to ensure quality and on-time delivery of tasks and deliverables.
-- As an experienced instructor you have demonstrated expertise in the topic or course being instructed.
As a cybersecurity professional you have the opportunity to support multiple classes such as Network Operations Specialists, Linux System Administrators, DBAs, Cyber Defense Analysts, Vulnerability Assessment Analysts, Systems Security Analysts, etc
Skills (Desired and/or Required):
Classroom or virtual classroom teaching experience required (2 years min).
Strong presentation skills and excellent oral communication skills required.
Technical expertise in one or more cybersecurity roles within the DoD.
Curriculum design and development experience desired.
Strong writing skills and the ability to distill knowledge and skills into visuals and other guidance for students.
Virtual training environment design and development experience desired, building virtual machine labs for student engagement.
B.S. or B.A. degree or above in computer or business-related field is required; Experience may be substituted for a degree.
Additional Required Certifications:
All instructors shall hold one of the following: a commercial instructional certificate (e.g., CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer+, Microsoft Certified Technical Trainer), a degree in training and/or education, or a completion certificate or certification from a military service school.
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level-I or higher certification is required.
One of the following baseline certifications are required: A+CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+CE, or SSCP.
