Responsibilities include:+ Responsible for reviewing the day-to-day accounting tasks performed by the staff such as journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements+ Preparing monthly analysis for the Accounting Reporting Package on a GAAP basis+ Acting as a liaison between Accounting and business teams to assist with ad-hoc analyses+ Assisting with the preparation of various financial reporting analyses for the Supplemental,10Q, and 10K filings+ Reviewing monthly and quarterly general ledger accounts and variances as part of the monthly and quarterly close+ Assist with Company's compliance requirements as required by the executed agreements+ Assisting with acquisition and disposition accounting-related tasks such as budgeting, purchase analysis, and sales analysis+ Researching and implementing new accounting matters+ Participating in ad-hoc projects, including stand-alone and consolidated financial statements supporting schedules, internal audit and external audit requests, as assigned+ Supervisor/Administrative Responsibilities - Directly supervises staff employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:+ General oversight of property accounting+ Training employees+ Planning, assigning and directing work, and appraising performance+ Addressing concerns and solving problemsQualifications and Experience:+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.+ CPA preferred+ 4+ years of accounting experience, mix of public accounting and private experience preferred+ Strong analytical skills+ Technical accounting research skills desirable+ Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels such as HQ/field personnel, senior management, lenders, consultants, etc.+ Proficient in business related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint+ JD Edwards accounting software experience desirable+ Public commercial real estate experience preferred+ Experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
