In the role of Submarine Logistic Technical Data (LTD) Specialist, you will be a part of Team Submarine, located in Washington, DC.     Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

    In this role, you will provide support services to include handling and processing of Logistic Technical Data (LTD) product maintenance for in-service submarines. This may include:

    • LTD products include Ship Systems Manuals (Operating Procedures, Casualty Procedures and Operating Instructions), Special Emphasis Programs Boundary Books (Fly By Wire Boundary Book, Submarine Safety Certification Boundary Books, Deep Submergence System Scope of Certification Boundary Books), Component Tech Manuals, Strategic Weapon System Support Systems Manuals (SSBN), Attack Weapon System Support Systems Manuals (SSGN), Ship Valves Tech Manuals.

    • Processing technical data product reviews, including the implementation of SSN688, SSN21, SSN23, SSBN726 and SSGN726 Class technical data product workflow processes. Manage the routing and tracking of assigned Logistic Technical Data (LTD) products throughout the product review cycle.

    • Processing new LTD products and changes to LTD products for Navy review and approval, recognizing the priority of each based on schedule and need for planned submarine maintenance availabilities.

    • Participation in regularly scheduled LTD status and planning meetings. Production of meeting minutes or notes and distributing as needed.

    • Management and coordination of technical reviews of LTD product deliverables; communication and coordination of review and adjudication of technical, administrative, and editorial comments through resolution to achieve approval of LTD products.

    • Generation and maintenance of LTD process metrics.

    • Coordination with program offices to ensure timely delivery of LTD products to support Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) certifications of alterations.

    • Assistance with routing and processing distribution requests for LTD products.

    • Monitoring and assisting with LTD actions for decommissioning submarines and retiring configurations.

    • Maintenance of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) records for correspondence, communications, and processing of LTD products to ensure auditability and compliance with federal government/DoD/DoN/NAVSEA records management policy.

    • Other legacy (726, 21/23 and 688) class LTD related tasks as needed/required.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • Have a current or active DoD Secret security clearance is required at time of application.

    • One to three years experience with similar work or work within the DoD.

    • Bachelor's level degree in a business or technical field and 2 to 5 years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field is desired. Work experience will be strongly considered in lieu of degree.

    • Be a self-starter with significant focus on attention to detail, comfortable with technical details.

    • Have experience interfacing with an end item customer.

    • Familiarity with handling restrictions (CUI, NOFORN etc.), sensitive, unclassified, and classified documents.

    • Have the ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

    Additional desired experience and skills

    • SharePoint experience a plus.

    • Active-Duty Experience in the submarine service is preferred.

    • Recent experience in Team Submarine would be ideal.

    • Experience with IT resources used to support CM such as CDMD-OA, ATIS, ERP, NTIRA, NDE, eForms, METIS, OneTouch, Haystack, Windchill MBPS, etc.
