This role's duties will require you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

    What you get to do every single day

    • Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

    • Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

    • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

    • Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

    • Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

    • Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

    • Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

    • Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

    • Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

    • Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

    • Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

    • Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

    • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation Requirements - The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

    • Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

    • 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

    • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

    • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

    • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

    • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

    • Detailed and have the ability work independently

    • Monthly Journal Entries experience preferred

    • Post Journal Entries experience

    • Month end closings experience required

    • Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

    • Solid understanding of general ledger

    • Proven knowledge of financial reporting

    • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

    • Experience with ERP systems

    • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
