Staff Accountant

Description

My client, one of the most reputable and largest homebuilders in the country is looking for a Staff Accountant to support their continued growth. The Staff Accountant will part of a collaborative team and resposibility for reviewing, analyzing, reconciling and updating financial statements and management reports.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating journal entries submitted by operational personnel to determine if entry is appropriate, accurate, and complete

• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Accounting for fixed assets and maintain permanent records for book and tax history

• Independently reviewing internal management reports for accuracy and completeness

• Communicating with operating department personnel to obtain explanations and support for account balances

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting

• 1+ year of experience with EITHER general ledger accounting OR public accounting

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient with MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
