Staff Accountant

Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our aerospace company, leveraging their expertise in Oracle and NetSuite software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to support decision-making processes.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Utilize Oracle and NetSuite software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.

• Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting operations.

• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in accounting software and technology.

• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as requested by management.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Oracle and NetSuite software required.
