Staff Accountant

Description

An awesome Robert Half client is in search of a talented construction/manufacturing Staff Accountant to join their team in a growth minded role to eventually become their assistant controller! This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading organization in the construction industry. If you have a bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of accounting experience, and a strong understanding of GAAP principles, AIA documentation, and construction related documents, lets connect!!

Responsibilities

• Perform full cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes.

• Utilize your experience working with AIA forms, sworn statements, and other construction-related documents and projects to support project accounting and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Apply your knowledge of GAAP principles to maintain accurate financial records and support audit processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights for decision-making purposes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Ideally, 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction-related industry.

• Strong familiarity with AIA forms, sworn statements, and other construction-related documents/projects is required.

• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and full cycle accounting processes.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
