Staff Accountant

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Aurora, Colorado. This role primarily focuses on general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable processing, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger, which includes creating journal entries and performing reconciliations.

• Oversee the month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly.

• Verify and reconcile vendor invoices, customer payments, and other financial transactions.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

Requirements - Must possess a minimum of one year's experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proven knowledge and application of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations.

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations.

• Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in conducting Month End Close procedures.

• Proficient use of NetSuite is essential.

• Experience with Oracle is a plus.

• Knowledge and use of QuickBooks is highly desired.

• Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
