  • Overview

    We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Contracts Administration in our Coleman Aerospace business unit in Orlando, FL. The selected individual will plan, direct, control and manage the activities and staff involved with the negotiation, preparation, monitoring and termination of contracts for the business unit and ensure the fulfillment of all contractual obligations. This position will report to the business lead and will act as a functional manager, liaison and business advisor to program offices. A principal responsibility will be to ensure the company's best interests are protected through quality of contract management throughout the business unit, including processes and analyses to support business decisions and providing informative reports to the entire senior management team.

    Essential Functions

    • Act as primary business advisor to the leadership and staff of the business unit on matters related to contract compliance and achievement of business objectives.

    • Understand and analyze performance and customer relationships

    • Establish appropriate controls to engender an appropriate "results focus" in decision making

    • Lead the business through the challenges of growth, and position the business to capitalize new business opportunities

    • Personally engage to ensure solid program-level contractual performance, to include ensuring timely and accurate reporting to customers

    • Ensure contract deliverables are issued accurately and in a timely fashion

    • Lead the assigned contracts team in supporting the company financial objectives concerning bookings (awards and funding)

    • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Government Contracts or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • 12 years of progressively responsible experience in contracts development and administration

    • Ability to direct and control overall organizational resources

    • Demonstrated managerial level leadership skills/experience

    • Comprehensive understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its agency supplements

    • Strong conceptual and business analytical skills

    • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills are required, as well as solid computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project).
