Description

Robert Half Management Resources seeks a resourceful, strong Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a growing and dynamic company in Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry. In this Accounting Manager role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations as the Accounting Manager. Work with a New Orleans, Louisiana based company that rewards your results-driven efforts. This is an long-term temporary-to-full-time employment type.

How you will make an impact

Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Collaborate with FP&A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook

Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlines

Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes

Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures

Requirements

• Customer service oriented communication skills

• Reliable technology and analytical abilities

• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

• Recent relevant financial experience

• Data Analysis experience preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

• Quality experience with Microsoft Excel

• General familiarity with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Strong familiarity with financial analysis

• Practical knowledge of Monthly Close

• Proven knowledge of financial planning

• Financial Analytics experience preferred

• Experience with financial modeling

• Well-founded grasp of financial statement preparation

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

• Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
