Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Accountant who's looking to build their career in a thriving, dynamic setting in the Tustin, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

• Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. Requirements - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Skilled at time management

• Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Great attention to detail

• Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Proficient in ERP systems

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

• Solid understanding of general ledger

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
