Sr. Accountant

Description

Exciting newly created Sr. Revenue Accountant position for the Revenue Accounting team of a publicly traded organization. The company has completed over 20 acquisitions in the last 2 years with a healthy pipeline moving forward in addition to double digit organic growth which combined has created a dynamic, growing, and evolving business with abundant professional opportunities. This is a hybrid work environment with 2 days in office and 3 from home. The accounting department is a no drama, highly collaborative team that sticks together through stressful times. There is tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth within the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Reconcile and accrue revenue accounts monthly.

• Support the month end close process.

• Assist in the development, implementation of and monitoring adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.

• Identify, research and resolve corporate accounting, auditing, and operational issues.

• Perform intercompany entries and reconciliations.

• Develop and analyze internal monthly financial statements and year end audit financial statements.

• Assist with financial audit preparation and responses including annual external audit, bank audits, 401K audit, and other audits as required.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Assist with special projects to facilitate the effective functioning of the Finance Department.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelors degree in Accounting

• 4+ years of experience (either Corporate Accounting or mix of Public and Corporate Accounting)

• Strong ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) & US GAAP knowledge

• Experience working in a public company

• Highly proficient with MS Excel

• Technologically savvy and proficiency with an ERP

• Positive attitude, problem solving skills, leadership qualities.

• Exceptional communication skills

• Flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.

Preferred

• CPA or actively pursuing CPA license

• Deltek Vision

• Prior engineering, architecture, or construction industry experience.
