Sr. Accountant

Hybrid role! Work in the office 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week!

Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with an Ithaca company that has awesome benefits and really good work life balance. This Senior Accountant position will have a lot of growth to it. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Help prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Cost Accounting: Help manage the cost accounting process, including the analysis of production costs, inventory valuation, and overhead allocation to support effective cost management and pricing strategies.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights into revenue projections, expense trends, and variance analysis to support operational planning and performance monitoring.

• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function, implementing best practices to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, procurement, and sales, to gather financial data, address accounting-related inquiries, and support business initiatives with financial analysis and insights.

Requirements

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Excel Formulas experience desired

• BA/BS in Accounting

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Excellent communication skills
