Sr. Accountant

Description In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

• Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Great attention to detail

• 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• Prior work done in public accounting is desired

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Well-founded grasp of Distribution systems

• Process Flow Charts experience preferred

• Proven knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Account analysis experience

• Solid understanding of month end closings

• Month-end Close Activities experience preferred

• Proficiency in Adequate Inventory

• Vow to meet business deadlines

• Experience with ERP systems

• Strong time management skills preferred
