    We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Manufacturing operations with proficiency in SAP software. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, particularly in a manufacturing context, coupled with advanced SAP skills. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance within the manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP principles.

    Cost Accounting: Oversee the cost accounting process, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, and variance reporting.

    Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and trends within the manufacturing operations.

    Month-end Close: Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

    SAP Expertise: Utilize advanced SAP functionalities to streamline accounting processes, maintain master data integrity, and generate relevant reports for decision-making.

    Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to manufacturing operations and financial transactions.

    Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function, leveraging SAP capabilities and best practices.

    Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and supply chain, to support strategic initiatives and address financial implications.

    Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff on manufacturing accounting principles and SAP usage, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer within the team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

    • Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, including standard costing, absorption costing, and inventory management.

    • Proficiency in SAP ERP system, with hands-on experience in SAP modules relevant to manufacturing (e.g., SAP MM, SAP PP).

    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or anomalies.

    • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls framework (e.g., COSO), with experience in SOX compliance preferred.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional areas and influence decision-making.

    • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
