Sr. Accountant

Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a Bellevue based company. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting, financial, and reporting tasks. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's accounting records and financial systems. This is a contract role with the potential for going to a permanent role. The role is full time in office while on contract.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial data.

• Analyze financial reports and records, making improvements to efficiency and spending as needed.

• Coordinate the company's annual audit and tax planning processes.

• Conduct detailed risk assessments and perform fiscal analyses.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

• Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements and tax deductions.

• Ensure accuracy of financial documents, as well as compliance with relevant regulations.

• Review and maintain updated accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.

• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

• Serve as a mentor to junior staff and manage training development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree is desirable.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

• Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations.

• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Superior attention to detail with an outstanding mathematical aptitude.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
