Job Description:

L3 Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Engineer to join our team in performing logistics analysis activities on the Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization, and Modification (DTAMM) program. This role will be a logistics support engineer for activities supporting program efforts at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Base (SFB) site. The individual filling this role must be in the local area of Cape Canaveral SFB to work on-site as required, with the option to work remotely on days on-site support is not required (local area is defined as 50 miles from Cape Canaveral SFB).

Essential Functions:

The Logistics Specialist duties include but are not limited to:

• Advanced knowledge and appreciable latitude in decision-making and focus on Sustaining Engineering, responsible for overseeing the life cycle of a product from receipt to delivery and collect data on every step IAW ITIL best practices, customer, and DoD policies & procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices.

• Analyze supply chain processes to identify or recommend opportunities to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.

• Plan and implement product delivery and supply chain optimization projects (e.g., warehouse-slotting, route planning). Oversee inventory procedures.

• Create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Identify the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules.

• Monitor shipments and trace shipment routes to ensure that the most efficient shipping and delivery methods are used for every delivery.

• Provide feedback on vendor operations (e.g., freight forwarders) according to quality standards. Investigate late delivery claims from customers, following the path of the shipment from receipt to delivery to spot problems and verify customer claims.

• Collaborate with team across the IT enterprise to implement effective systems. Coordinate and communicate with Asset and Configuration management team to ensure consistent and complete identification, tracking, control, and accounting of DTAMM controlled property.

• Track KPIs and service level metrics and report on logistics performance measures. Maintain database of logistics information. Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.

• Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.

Qualifications:

• Active SECRET security clearance

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience developing and presenting logistics product technical documentation. Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills and be capable of developing and presenting reports and presentations to the project teams, weapon system management and customer personnel in a clear, articulate, and concise manner.

• Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Sources (DMSMS).

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Power Point, and Word.

• Working knowledge in acquisition life cycle processes, product development, and Life Cycle Cost modeling.

• Working knowledge of technical order development, content, and change activities.

• Working knowledge of Reliability, Availability, & Maintainability (RAM) modeling.

• Familiar with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) policies and procedures.

• Working knowledge of maintenance contracts management and procedures for warranty repairs.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $53,000 - $98,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
