Senior Tax Accountant

Description

Our client seeks a Senior Tax Accountant for a full time opportunity. The Senior Tax Accountant will have substantial experience in the preparation of Federal, State and Local tax returns, including in particular fiduciary, individual and partnership tax returns, partnership accounting, and in calculating individual estimated tax payments.

Other responsibilities for the Senior Tax Accountant include but are not limited to

• Develop all tax deliverables by assignment of returns along with relevant filings for assigned customers.

• Maintain and comply with all work standards reducing risk exposure.

• Present in-depth focus on allocated projects and alert Senior Manager about probable technical tax problems.

• Develop Federal and State Individual, Trust and Corporate tax returns, Partnership and FAS 109 calculations.

• Prepare tax package information requests and instruct staff about tax adjustments and execution of tax application systems.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Tax Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Other requirements for the Senior Tax Accountant position include and are not limited to

• 5+ years of relevant experience in high net worth individual and business planning and compliance

• Trust experience preferred

• CPA or CPA tracks required

• Strong analytical and accounting skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)
