Senior SEC Financial Reporting Analyst

Description

We are representing a growing biotechnology company looking for a meticulous Senior SEC Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team in Irving. This is a high exposure role with a lot of potential future growth. The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of internal and external financial reporting, including 10-Q's and 10-K's, as well as earnings releases and proxy statement filings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP standards.

• Responsible for detailed preparation and review of supporting work papers for data and disclosures contained in SEC filings, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial disclosures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial disclosures.

• Stay abreast of new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations, and assess their impact on financial reporting.

• Facilitate in the implementation of controls under the requirements of SOX.

• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.

• Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and internal controls.

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to financial reporting and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SEC reporting within the life sciences industry.

• Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations.

• Big 4 public accounting highly preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software.

• Experience with SOX compliance is a plus.
