  • Position Summary...

    What you'll do...

    Provides support for the Marketing and Advertising Legal COE (buy and sell side advertising), within the Global Governance Organization. A key responsibility will be to review advertising and marketing copy and materials, for both Walmart Marketing, as well as ad copy submitted by advertisers to be used in advertising purchased through Walmart Connect, while taking into account Walmart Connect ad policies and ad moderation standards and processes. Candidate may provide support for additional specialized legal matters by managing end-to-end legal processes independently with little guidance; developing and revising internal legal processes within area of specialization; providing necessary information to leadership; collecting, entering, and maintaining legal information in various legal systems; managing legal files and logs; scheduling meetings and calls and coordinating with in-house counsel, outside counsel, business team members, and internal subject matter experts; and providing status updates and responding to questions about legal matters.

    In addition, candidate would be expected to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders (for example, business team members, in-house counsel, outside counsel) and work on key initiatives by; attend meetings and key events; taking and distributing meeting notes; working with counsel to draft legal documents; interfacing with and providing guidance to stakeholders; and holding stakeholders accountable to legal processes and taking appropriate actions to remedy issues.

    Assists attorneys with project management relating to various advertising and marketing legal initiatives and projects, by maintaining and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and professional practices;; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

    The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00-$63.00*

    ?

    *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

    Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

    Minimum Qualifications...

    A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or

    otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR 3 years' experience as a paralegal, legal

    analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR a juris doctorate degree from an

    accredited law school.
