  • RGP Professional Search has joined forces with a financial services client as they continue their growth trajectory, despite market conditions, supporting the direct hire of a Senior Manager of Externa Reporting.

    As the Senior Accounting Manager of External Reporting is responsible for the integrity, preparation, accuracy, and filing of financial reporting documents, including related SEC and regulatory filings.

    FOCUS

    • Lead quarterly earnings and SEC filing planning.

    • Support Bank Regulatory Reports preparation.

    • Manage internal relationships and information flow for accurate reporting.

    • Prepare and analyze quarterly reviews in compliance with SOX 404.

    • Stay updated on products, services, and regulatory compliance.

    • Assess significant transactions for SEC disclosure.

    • Support external audit activities.

    • Assist with special projects, mergers, and acquisitions.

    • Review and improve accounting procedures and systems.

    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

    • Stay current with industry changes and oversee audits.

    PROFILE

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from a 4-year college or university.

    • 8+ years of accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and SEC reporting with a large public company.

    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

    • Management experience is necessary.

    • Effective workload organization and prioritization.

    • Proficiency in using financial software, spreadsheets, Word, and Excel.

    • Strong technical accounting skills.

    • Reading and interpreting various documents.

    • Writing reports and business correspondence.

    • Effective presentation to different audiences.

    • Applying mathematical concepts to practical situations.

    • Problem-solving abilities.

    • Judgment, common sense, and logical thinking.

    • Physical requirements include sitting, occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities are needed.

    TOTAL REWARDS

    • Pay Range: $125,000 - $200,000k plus annual bonus

    • Remote is only available for candidates based in AZ, CO, ID, KS, MN, MO, MT, NE, ND, SD, OR, WA, WY

    • Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors
