  • Overview

    Logistics Management Consultant provides the Client senior management functional and technical expertise to integrate best commercial industry practices and mitigate risks while implementing new technologies including operationally sensitive aquisition mechanisms, techniques, methods, and processes. Additional responsibilities of the Logistics Management Consultant includes but not limited to serving as an advisor for sensitive non-tradtional, untethered logisics support, leveraging untethered, non-tradtional logistics mechanisms to support operationally sensitive requirements, and conducting logistical economic and feasibility analysis in support of directed areas of interest; offering highly specialized multidisciplinary, discrete non-traditional, untethered logistical support; representing the Client and the Client's Senior Executive Management Team as an advisor applying or creating new processes and procedures to fit requirements specific or tailored to mission location; and providing direct and indirect operational support in the following disciplines: Finance and Budget, Logistics, Human Resources, Facilities and Engineering, Critical Infrastructure, Security, and Project Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and/or write of Statements of Work for use with program contractors based on analysis of the Client' requirements documents

    • Assist in coordination and mission maintenance of specific delivery orders as directed by the Program Manager and/or the Client

    • Provide operational and logistical feasibility and financial analysis in support of directed areas current and future operations, infrastructure support and missions, as required.

    • Provide technical logistical and operational support analysis, guidance and recommendations to the Program Manager/Contract Officer Representative in support of contractors' proposals for execution of various Statements of Work.

    • Elicite requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops for visioning, surveys, and business process mapping and analysis.

    • Collaborate with customer to define concepts and clarify requirements under the direction of project managers. Contributes to planning and operations by assisting with the defining of future process and solution needs.

    • Conducts detailed research in order to translate business and operational requirements into precise, high quality deliverables or action executions.

    • Coordinates closely with cross-functional project teams and help drive projects across the organization to rapidly execute requirements.

    • Communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to understand business strategies and future initiatives to assist in the planning and management of work.

    • Analyzes business needs to identify new processes or process improvements that will meet the needs of stakeholders.

    • Execute appropriate action to ensure mission success as client requirements mandate.

    • Provide business, logistic and feasibility assessments related to the Senior leadership to include trend analysis associated with labor, other direct costs, and contractor travel associated with contract expenditures and activities.

    • Advise, assist, and facilitate Client "Acquire-to-Retire" efforts to achieve Congressional mandated "Audit Readines" by maintaining program records of equipment, property, security, supplies and vehicle accountability, maintenance, and related records in accordance with the SOW and Government guidance.

    • Assist Client with retaining vendor records including all contract invoices and all supporting labor, other direct cost and travel documentation in a centralized archive within secure client spaces for future retrieval and business audit readiness.

    • Prepare and deliver briefing materials in various formats (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.) as well as consolidate, edit and format various recurring reports as requested by the Government.

    Qualifications

    • Possess Joint Special Operations logistics (i.e.,Quartermaster) and/or Intelligence Community logistics or support operations logistics experience and have knowledge of Special Access Programs.

    • Experience supporting non-traditional logistics, untethered logistics and 21st Century Foreging mechanism or techniques

    • Experieince supporting non-traditional logistics, facility engineering, construction management, or facility management projects

    • Purchasing Class I-IX supplies, assisting the Client evaluation of requirements, and developing standard operating procedures supporting contingency and mobility operations in remote, austere permissive and nonpermissive environments.

    • Proven experience in solving challenging technical problems.

    • Use Mobile Scanning Devices (MSD) - DESIRED

    • Previous or current experience including MOS certification training with MOS 92Y (Unit Supply Specialist) or equivalent

    • Trained, certified, and experience in using Defense Property Accoutability System (DPAS) - REQUIRED

    • Trained, certified, and experience in using Property Book Unit Supply Enhance (PBUSE) - REQUIRED

    • Trained, certified, and experience in using Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) - REQUIRED

    • Previous or current experience as Unit Supply Clerk, Unit Supply Sergeant, Battalion S4, Quartemaster Warrant Officer or equivalent.

    • Experience in using Financial and Accounting Software (FACTS) - DESIRED

    Knowledge:

    • Non-traditional logistics methods, techniques, and mechanisms

    • Untethered logistics methods, techniques, and mechanisms

    • 21st Century Foreging methods, technique, and mechanisms

    • Federal Acquisition Regulations and/or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR)

    • Supply chain and Supply Chain Risk Management principles and methodologies

    Skills:

    • Must possess excellent computer, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.

    • Purchase Class I-IX supplies, assist the Client evaluation including validation of requirements, and develop standard operating procedures supporting contingency and mobility operations in

      • Operate the Defense Property Accoutability System (DPAS) - DESIRED
    • Operate the Property Book Unit Supply Enhance (PBUSE) - DESIRED

    • Operate Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) - DESIRED

    • Operate Mobile Scanning Device (MSD) - DESIRED

    • Communicate well verbally and in writing at all organizational levels

    • Work independently with minimum supervision or oversight and as a team player

    • Work nights and weekends for operational necessities, as required

    • Continue developing professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience

    • Handle multiple, demanding, and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results

    Education:

    • Must possess 15 years of military experience qualifying for the respective position and possession of High School Diploma, or ten (10) years of military experience qualifying for the respective position and possession of an Associates' college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position, or five (5) years of military experience qualifying for the respective position and possession of a Bachelor's college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position.

    Certifications:

    • Must have Valid U.S. Driver's and be able to obtain an International Driver's License

    • Must have a valid and current US Passport

    • Be able to acquire and meet US Central Command Medical Screening qualifications, if Client directed

    • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or an equivalent certification. (DESIRED)

    Travel:

    • Must be worldwide deployable, often to remote, austere permissive and nonpermissive environments.

    Clearance:

    • Must have an current, adjudicated, and active TS/SCI security clearance w/Poly. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
