The Digital Enterprise Program (DEP) has been envisioned as a Corporate initiative to facilitate a transformation of the company from a departmental, document-centric, and functional/disciplined EPC execution to an integrated data centric, and Total Installed Cost (TIC) optimized EPC execution model. The focus of the DEP is the transformation of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) work process, tools, roles and responsibilities to support the transfer of trust and authority of information from documents to data resulting in a step change in project performance (craft time on tools).
The Senior Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist will contribute to the success of our organization and people by leading the efforts to develop quality learning and performance improvement solutions for DEP. This role will provide experience and expertise in L&D project management and instructional design to build and maintain effective learning solutions and performance support tools for the initiative. The ideal candidate is a high performing, strategic thinking L&D professional with experience managing complex programs to support DEP through this enterprise-wide transformational change.
Developing, implementing and managing overarching learning strategy for the DEP initiative in conjunction with L&D Communities of Expertise (CoE)
Designing, developing, coordinating, and scheduling Training Plans for the various DEP initiatives including but not limited to choosing the appropriate training methods for each case, aligning schedules to business needs, and ensuring adherence to budgets
Collaborating with DEP Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand the training needs and People Operations Instructional Design team to ensure consistency and effectiveness of learning solutions that align with industry best practice, Bechtel standards and DEP needs.
Analyzing and designing learning solutions that are engaging, informative, high quality and delivered according to Corporate Learning & Developments standards and guidelines
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training assessing and identifying skill and knowledge gaps that need to be addressed and developing strategies to address issues
Developing learning interventions through all stages of the learning design process including prototyping, Alpha, Beta testing and final production and perform technical troubleshooting during and after the production process
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Learning Theory or related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or 13+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
5+ years' experience in adult learning design and development, with at least 2 years' experience in designing learning and materials (live instruction and web based);
Experience supporting managers who have responsibility for establishing strategic objectives for large organizations
Proficiency with web-development / e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate) to support cross-platform deployment
Experience within the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry
Experience working with Global teams, cultures and understanding global requirements
Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
Experience with Change Management initiatives and coaching others through change
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate global time zones, as needed
