    GDIT is seeking a Senior International Trade Compliance Analyst to oversee our team supporting a NASA program.

    PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

    • NASA Headquarters, Office of International and Interagency Relations (OIIR), Export Control and Interagency Liaison Division (ECILD), 300 E Street SW, Washington DC 20546.

    Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

    • For NASA programs with significant international participation, provide support, including technical analysis, related to export control matters to ensure the program operates in accordance with federal export and import laws and regulations, applicable NASA export and import related directives, policy requirements, and instructions;

    • Assist with making jurisdiction and classification determinations, including for NASA scientific information planned for public release;

    • Analyze and process NASA export authorization requests received from NASA Centers for submission to federal regulators;

    • Assist NASA with assessing compliance with federal export-import laws and regulations and the associated NASA policies;

    • Support development of policy, procedures, instructions, job aids, and training to ensure technology transfer risks are properly managed across NASA;

    • Assist with drafting and reviewing advisory opinions and disclosures to regulators; and

    • Support NASA Headquarters' organizations to ensure they operate in accordance with federal export and import laws and regulations, applicable NASA export and import related directives, policy requirements, and instructions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Ability to be granted a SECRET level security clearance;

    • Technical degree (Bachelor's or higher) in an aerospace-related discipline (e.g., engineering, physics, or chemistry) or equivalent experience;

    • Significant international participation, provide support, including technical analysis, related to export control matters to ensure the program operates in accordance with federal export and import laws and regulations, applicable NASA export and import related directives, policy requirements, and instructions;

    • Assist with making jurisdiction and classification determinations, including for NASA scientific information planned for public release;

    • Analyze and process NASA export authorization requests received from NASA Centers for submission to federal regulators;

    • Assist NASA with assessing compliance with federal export-import laws and regulations and the associated NASA policies;

    • Support development of policy, procedures, instructions, job aids, and training to ensure technology transfer risks are properly managed across NASA;

    • Assist with drafting and reviewing advisory opinions and disclosures to regulators; and

    • Support NASA Headquarters' organizations to ensure they operate in accordance with federal export and import laws and regulations, applicable NASA export and import related directives, policy requirements, and instructions

    • Minimum of eight (8) years overall experience with Ph.D.; minimum of ten (10) years overall experience with Master's; otherwise, a minimum of twelve (12) years of overall experience

    Desired Qualifications:

    • SECRET level security clearance.

    • Technical expertise in aerospace engineering and/or space science.

    • At least three (3) years of experience with space systems.

    • At least three (3) years of experience with U.S. export control laws related to aerospace programs.
