    Responsibilities

    Job Summary:

    The Senior Financial Planning Analyst works collaboratively with all members of the Finance Division to assist in the achievement of system objectives. The Senior Financial Planning Analyst assists the finance management team, in all areas of dashboard reporting, financial analysis, productivity analysis and support, long-range financial planning, operating and capital budgeting, and related activities in support of all strategies, initiatives and operational elements. Provides general direction, technical assistance and support to CHI Health management in the implementation and execution of strategic and operational initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for providing consultative support in the areas of financial analysis and planning, with emphasis on assigned operational areas.

    • Assists in forecasting financial needs, including pro forma financial statements, break-even analysis, cash flow projections, ratio analysis, cash planning, capital planning, resource utilization, and evaluation of financing alternatives.

    • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of the routine Analytical Review of operational activity which is based on a sound financial analysis, including budget vs. actual comparisons as well as benchmarking, but also incorporates operational insight in close cooperation with the affected operational personnel.

    • Participates in the creation of an instrument panel of key statistics, ratio and data for use by the Senior and Executive Leadership teams.

    • Provides training and support to financial analyst I and financial analyst II members of the Finance Division.

    • Provides advice, counsel, suggestions for operational improvement, support and accountability of financial operations to leadership.

    • Facilitates communication and acts as a point of contact between managers at the assigned areas and members of the Accounting & Finance Department.

    • Provides support in the process of gathering the common statistics in an accurate/timely fashion in support of other financial, planning and operational activities and initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or closely related field

    Preferred

    3-5 years experience in general accounting or finance

    Masters degree and/or a CPA license

    Pay Range

    $32.08 - $46.51 /hour
