Overview:
In this role, the selected candidate's primary responsibility will be interfacing and providing financial support to the Global Corporate functions including close related activities. This person will also assist in preparing, maintaining, and monitoring the global function's budget and forecasts for both capital expenditures and operating expenses. This person will also assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly reports to the Global Function leads, highlighting and reporting on variances from budget and prior forecast. S/he will be expected to resolve any financial queries that are raised, including timely communication of risks or opportunities relative to the budget/ forecast. The candidate will be expected to produce quality work in an organized, timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Prepare annual budget, as well as periodic forecast updates.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive master requisition/ purchase order tracking file for capital expenditures and operating expenses.
Lead meetings to collect data required to build and maintain the comprehensive master tracking file, gather monthly accruals, and identify operating expense risks/opportunities.
Assist in the approval process for capital expenditures and operating expenses by providing supporting documentation and appropriate financial coding for purchase order requisitions and capital requests.
Prepare insightful reporting including variance analysis for the Global function leads.
Responsible for month end close activities which include analysis of prepaids and monthly accruals.
Special projects/ad hoc analysis as necessary.
Education and experience required:
Skills and Qualifications required:
Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain internal customer relationships.
Demonstrated experience performing forecasting and budgeting-related activities.
Accounting and financial reporting experience.
Detailed oriented, analytical, self-starter essential.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage large amounts of data.
Skills and Qualifications preferred:
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or Hyperion Planning is a plus
BS/BA in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
MBA degree or CPA is preferred
