SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - Private, Growth-Oriented Company in Lawrenceville

My client, a well-known private company in Lawrenceville, is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team for an immediate, direct-hire opportunity. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and reporting financial data, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and professional standards. The Senior Accountant will manage account groups within the general ledger system, while also facilitating communication between external auditors and internal stakeholders during audits and reviews.

What You Get To Do Every Day

• Compile, analyze, and report financial information in accordance with US GAAP and professional standards.

• Act as a liaison between external auditors and internal business process owners, coordinating annual audits and quarterly review activities.

• Conduct technical accounting research and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and policies, providing guidance on remediation or corrective actions when necessary.

• Oversee balance sheet review and reporting to enhance visibility and consistency, while ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.

• Participate in additional projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in Accounting, Finance or other business related field of study required.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• CPA certification or in the process of obtaining CPA preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting theory, US GAAP, and SOX.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.

• Ability to think critically and initiate process improvements.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Thrives in a culture of continuous improvement.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.

• Experience with a national accounting firm is preferred.
