    The role involves a variety of accounting tasks and is integral to ensuring our finance department operates in accordance with GAAP principles. This Senior Accountant will provide crucial support to both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to process enhancements to meet evolving business needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts during month-end close processes.

    • Support both internal and external audits, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

    • Post transactions accurately to journals, ledgers, and other relevant records.

    • Maintain meticulous documentation in alignment with company policies and accounting standards.

    • Support multi-state and international payroll processes, with a readiness to provide backup assistance.

    • Assist in billing and collections processes as necessary.

    • Oversee and maintain the company credit card program, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    • Conduct reconciliations for benefit plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

    • Research and report on multi-state sales & use tax matters to ensure compliance.

    • Contribute to process improvements and adapt to evolving accounting practices.

    • Provide ongoing support to internal and external stakeholders.

    • Assist with various projects as needed.

    Requirements - Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar capacity

    • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entries

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

    • Experience in month-end close activities is essential

    • Possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or be CPA eligible

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines consistently

    • Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about the organization and its employees.
