  • REG COMPLIANCE ANALYST 3 Location: Newport News, Virginia, United States Date: Jun 25, 2020Job DescriptionInterprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures. Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met. Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.Basic Qualifications6 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's DegreePreferred Qualifications Primary Duties and Responsibilities• Analyze and revise procedures where needed and develop compliance notifications for NNS suppliers related to various topics. • Possess the ability to research complex regulatory requirements (FAR, DFARS, etc.) using reliable sources related to the buying community and possess the ability to take that information and formulate a strategy forward.• Responsible for accuracy and submission of inter-departmental or regulatory reporting. • Conduct different types of audits in accordance with established guidelines.• Possess the ability to perform well under pressure.• Writing skills must be adequate to write procedures, implementing FAR/DFARS changes. • Possess a passion for details. • Possess the ability be proactive and react timely to unforeseen complications. • Integrity - Possess sound moral principal when conducting audits/certificate of insurance reviews. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.• Be a team player have a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. Ability to thrive in an agile work environment. Possess sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel, customers, and suppliers.• Possess good planning, time management and organization skills. • Advanced proficiency in Excel requiring sorting, analyzing and displaying data and or creating and delivering presentations. • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
