Purchasing Manager

Description

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Purchaser. The Purchaser will be responsible for researching new vendors, products, and services and negotiating contracts for the best price and value. This may be the role for you if you are an experience purchaser with excellent communication, inventory management and analytical skills.

The salary range will be $85,000 - $120,000 DOE with FANTASTIC benefits and the ability to make a major difference in the short and long term!

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors

• Attend and contribute to meetings with staff and other stakeholders

• Inspect purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely

• Liaise with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time

• Attend events, shows, and exhibitions to network with vendors and view new products

• Keep records of purchased products up to date

• Write orders to refill stock as appropriate from monitoring inventory

• Research potential products, vendors, and services, comparing price and quality for the best deal

• Write reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses

Requirements - Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Excellent organizational skills
