    The Proposal Technical Writer at Optum Serve will play a crucial role in supporting our federal contract bids. This individual will be responsible for creating comprehensive, clear, and concise content that will form an integral part of our proposal submissions. The ideal candidate will work closely with our business development, product management, and proposal teams to ensure that all written materials align with both the client's requirements and our strategic objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop and write clear, concise, and compelling content for federal contract proposals, including technical descriptions, executive summaries, and other necessary sections

    • Collaborate with subject matter experts across various departments to gather the necessary information and insights for proposal content

    • Ensure all technical documentation is consistent with industry standards and compliant with federal bid requirements

    • Edit and proofread proposal content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy

    • Assist in maintaining a comprehensive library of technical documentation, templates, and standard responses

    • Participate in proposal review meetings and provide input on content strategy and structure

    • Manage multiple writing assignments under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experience in technical writing in a government contracting or similar environment

    • Solid ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and understandable content

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant writing tools

    • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with federal government proposal processes and requirements

    • Familiarity with the health IT sector, especially federal healthcare and IT systems

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $70,200 to $137,800 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
