    We are a leading luxury residential millwork shop situated on Long Island's East Coast. We maintain an unwavering dedication to excellence, personalized service, and superior craftsmanship.

    Currently, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to oversee our prestigious residential projects throughout the Long Island and New York region. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the site superintendent and project management team throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate will possess the requisite technical expertise and a deep understanding of the distinctive opportunities and challenges inherent in the high-end millwork industry. Moreover, they will demonstrate professionalism and diligence in managing crucial relationships with clients, general contractors, and our internal team.

    salary: $98,000 - $128,000 per year

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise every phase of millwork projects from conception to execution

    • Act as the primary liaison with owners, architects, designers, and/or general contractors

    • Establish and maintain project schedules while coordinating on-site millwork requirements in tandem with the field Superintendent

    • Collaborate closely with the field Superintendent to coordinate resources effectively

    • Analyze bid documents thoroughly to grasp project scope and requirements

    • Engage with Architects/Designers/Owner Representatives throughout the bidding process, generating Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary

    • Create in-house scopes of work and cost estimates for all trades

    • Develop Request for Proposals (RFPs) for subcontractors listed by the company

    • Draft project schedules as outlines

    • Assess subcontractor bids and reconcile them with in-house estimates

    • Verify that subcontractor bids encompass the full scope of work

    • Aid in maintaining the company's subcontractor and historical cost databases

    • Contribute to the upkeep of bid documents logs and archives

    • Secure subcontractors and suppliers for projects

    • Verify the completeness and accuracy of scope in bid packages

    • Coordinate, review, and approve shop drawings/samples for accuracy and consistency before client release

    • Drive procurement and project engineering functions to ensure timely processing of subcontracts, material purchases, submittals, deliveries, clarifications, and changes, maintaining adherence to project schedules
