    dsm-firmenich has an exciting opportunity as a Production Planner in our St. Louis facility. This position reports directly to the Planning Manager and has no direct supervision requirements. You will be collaborating with vendors and customers alike to strategically plan with the production of orders. Bring your best problem solving skills as decisions are made on how best to perform work within suggested guidelines. Typical problem solving activities include analyzing information prior to updating Host System data files, prioritizing system demand requirements to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and the mathematical factoring of batch size requirements in a metric system.

    Your key responsibilities- Keeps inventory level under budget directives using SAP and define batch size to optimize manufacturing capacity- Efficient planning and preparation of work orders for production process, and maintain appropriate master data- Capacity management by effective scheduling and lot size monitoring- Inventory analysis to ensure proper parameters are set to minimize obsolescence or slow moving stock- Timely and accurate performance of additional duties as requested.- Strict adherence to Firlouis safety, good manufacturing practices and general policies and procedures

    You bring- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or related field- Minimum of 3 years' experience related experience- SAP experience and APICS Certification a plus- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and deadlines, strong analytical and problem solving skills- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills- Well versed in SAP, Microsoft Programs (Excel, PowerPoint word, Outlook etc.) and creating management presentations
