  • The Opportunity

    Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Product Owner to join our Data team in Buffalo, New York. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data and analytics projects and drive the successful execution of data-driven solutions.

    Pay

    Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $66500 - $89900 / year

    In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.     Responsibilities

    • Act as one of several primary liaisons between the Enterprise Data & Analytics team and various subsidiaries

    • Understand the distinct requirements, challenges, and opportunities of each subsidiary to tailor products accordingly.

    • Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap that aligns with the overarching goals of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team and the specific needs of each subsidiary.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, data scientists, and subsidiary representatives to gather and refine requirements.

    • Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.

    • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, strategic alignment, and subsidiary priorities.

    • Maintain and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-organized, prioritized, and regularly groomed. Adapt the backlog based on changing business needs and emerging insights.

    • Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, subsidiary representatives, and stakeholders. Ensure a shared understanding of product objectives and features.

    • Establish mechanisms for collecting feedback from subsidiary stakeholders and users. Utilize feedback to refine product features and continuously improve product quality.

    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to data and analytics. Apply relevant insights to enhance the product offerings.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college in information management, computer science, computer systems engineering, business administration, mathematics, or a related field

    • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the data and analytics domain.

    • Demonstrated experience working with multiple subsidiaries or business units, tailoring solutions to their unique requirements.

    • Strong understanding of data and analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies.

    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and a track record of successful product delivery.

    • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product features.

    • Experience with SQL and BI tools

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Experience working with large data repositories and/or relational database

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
