    Procurement Director - Erlanger, KY

    Goal of Position:

    • Support of implementation of enterprise goals through strategic as well as operative measures and activities in the area of raw material procurement

    • Develop, Coordinate and Implement procurement strategies for all raw materials needed in the defined region

    • Ensure Supply Security of all raw materials needed in the defined region.

    • Enhance ADM's ability to leverage its global volume through a higher level of product expertise, improved supplier relationships, a more coherent working mode and a high level of market knowledge.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Expert and Key Contact for all issues concerning raw materials for North America.

    • Proactively leading the procurement teams in all operations in North America (including Canada)

    • Development and implementation of procurement concepts and sourcing strategies to meet the company´s business growth and sourcing requirements

    • Participation in all procurement relevant enterprise decisions

    • Responsibility for the overall raw material purchasing value and volume in North America

    • Negotiate agreements on major commodities and services as required

    • Focus on internal customer satisfaction

    • Excellent understanding of international business processes

    • Oversee in the creation and execution of corporate and departmental policies and procedures

    • Develop, establish and manage effective relationships with key vendors and other business partners

    • Manage vendor balanced scorecards

    • Continue setting up a highly efficient and effective organizational structure

    • Support of budget planning and implementation of a coordinated controlling process with Europe and other locations as necessary

    • Continuous optimization of the strategic procurement process in terms of supplier development, qualification and relationship, execution of supplier audits

    • Cooperation with the global procurement functions of ADM

    • Cross-functional coordination and leadership within the organization, especially with Sales and Operations

    • Representation of ADM Human Nutrition North America in various external groups

    • Design and recommend professional training programs for staff aimed at elevating employee performance, problem solving and managerial skills

    • Position is key to assisting in the accomplishment of profit improvement programs, cost reduction and avoidance programs and a key to controlling costs through effective material purchasing

    • Perform other duties as required

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor in Business or Science (MBA preferred) or equivalent work experience

    • Proven track record of leadership with strong managerial and negotiation skills

    • Experience in Procurement of Food ingredients and / or FMCG´s

    • International experience

    • Highly motivated individual who can also motivate his/her team

    • Strategic, analytical and process oriented thinking and acting

    • Customer focus and "can-do" attitude

    • Results oriented

    • High level of communication skills

    • Ready to take decisions and take over responsibilities

    • Ability to persevere in conflict situations

    • Very good IT knowledge (SAP / Windows Office)

    • Self starter

    • Willingness to travel
