The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and will be persistent with the ability to influence by driving affordability and accessibility.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Establishing medium term (3-5 year) procurement strategy

    • Participate on the Business LT and drive Procurement strategies that meet business and product portfolio needs

    • Responsible for managing the product context within procurement via DfX concept, interfacing with all other functional disciplines.

    • Global scope influencing> 300 million spend and related risk for assigned product portfolio

    • Leads all Procurement Engineering activity, meets all BU related Procurement Objectives/KPI's and mitigates procurement related risks

    • Achieves product cost reduction through value engineering/DfX and supply chain optimization in the Business Unit

    • Responsible for talent management of the procurement function across the Business Group by managing direct reports (US and China)

    • Ensures development of cost, quality roadmaps & linkage to margin management

    • Manages standardization & complexity reduction (concept improvement)

    • Capture supplier innovation in product & business creation to optimize propositions and achieve the best value for Philips and its customers

    You're the right fit if:

    • You have a Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent); Master's preferred

    • 8+ years of experience.

    • Previous experience in research & development, product development or operations.

    • Experience in procurement, managing suppliers and relationship development.

    • 4+ years of experience in the DfX, DFSS, DMAIC, Six Sigma, and/or Lean methodology.

    • 4+ years of experience applying cost models.

    • 4+ years of experience applying value engineering processes.

    • You have the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders both externally and internally.

    • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

    Philips Transparency Details

    The pay range for this position is $141,120 to $241,920 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

    In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
