    Job Summary:

    Examines and adjudicates cases. Handles high-volume, confidential, and time-sensitive materials. Acts as liaison to government/regulatory agencies, policyholders, agents, etc. Conducts interviews and reconciles information to adjudicate cases. Prepares a wide variety of complex documents, memorandums and/or reports that summarize evidence which includes formal analysis, investigative results, and recommendations to disposition each case. Adjudicators must maintain the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality when handling information. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Attend and complete professional development training as it relates to Personnel Security

    • Assures completeness of investigative coverage; screens investigative reports by identifying and analyzing derogatory and mitigating information, prepares detailed written case histories and case evaluations and analysis of all available information, and makes written determinations and recommends further action and processing.

    • All written products must be professionally prepared, and technically and grammatically correct without errors. Case evaluation summaries include but are not limited to, investigations, reinvestigations, incident reports, letters of interrogatory andSensitive Compartmented InformationCorrectly enters information and data into all required personnel security databases.

    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or one to three years of experience in analyzing data derived from multiple reference points for a personnel security program.

    • Excellent technical writing skills, including producing easily understandable, concise reports without technical errors that are also grammatically correct.

    • Ability to analyze data and resolve issues where discrepancies may exist.

    • Ability to synthesize information and identify key findings.

    • Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

    • Proven ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment with little supervision.

    • US Citizen and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoE Q clearance.
