    West Plant

    This is a full-time, exempt position

    Job Description

    The Performance Analyst Manager is the subject matter expert of all financial aspects of plant operations including operational costs and capital expenditures and has a key leadership role in improving the plant's cost position.

    The primary responsibilities of the Performance Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

    Plant safety leadership:

    • Promote a positive safety attitude in all interactions

    • Engage with plant safety programs such as job cycle checks, safety committees, safety blitzes, and safety audits

    Lead plant cost analysis efforts:

    • Analyze performance gaps and highlight areas of opportunity by mining PI data, Maximo data, accounting reports, and power BI reports

    • Work with accounting to explain cost anomalies

    • Promote accountability of financial and operational KPIs amongst plant leadership via coaching and follow-up

    • Hold routine financial reviews with all levels of plant leadership that highlight performance gaps and areas of opportunity

    • Aid in tracking plant maintenance costs against goals and benchmarks

    • Coordinate month end close including inventory, load, and usage reconciliation

    • Document month end close procedures

    • Engage with accounting and plant on streamlining month end close procedures to aid in accuracy and timeliness of results

    Prepare annual financial plan for plant operations:

    • Engage with plant and corporate personnel on setting benchmarks for operating cost and capital expenditure

    • Aid in developing and implementing plant's capital strategy

    Understand fundamentals of various plant operations:

    • Understand purpose of each plant unit operation as well as its financial impact Understand high level operating KPIs such as OEE, yield, energy/chemical utilization, and first pass prime

    • Afternoon assistance to the plant formulator regarding scheduling

    • Basic backup of department superintendent

    • Aid in optimization projects in other departments

    • Take leadership in Performance Excellence initiatives, such as Zero Loss and KPI workshops

    Lead and coordinate processes for review and approval of office and plant expenditures:

    • Approve production clerk PRs/POs/Invoices in Coupa and Maximo

    • Manage office processes and reports

    • Backup production clerk when deemed necessary

    • CTS Administrator

    Job Requirements

    • A broad mix of technical and financial business acumen obtained via college degree or experience.

    • Ability to collaborate with others, influence, lead, and execute tasks as required.

    • Demonstrable experience and competency working with large excel spreadsheets and databases

    • Power BI knowledge

    • PI Vision knowledge
