• Payroll Analyst - Cash Management

  • In this role, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and processing Cash Accounting and finance workflows for daily transactions, coordinating general ledger accounting data to Human Resource (HR) US Controllers Team, and supporting a Global Cash Team. Provides analytical and technical support on all matters regarding the organization's payroll activities, including partnering with your direct manager on strategic and tactical planning.

    As a Payroll Accounting Associate on the JPMorgan Chase US Payroll team, you are a vital individual contributor for all US Legal Entity Cash movement and finance operations, while promoting and strengthening internal controls to meet all applicable compliance requirements for the firm. You will coordinate and cross-train with a global Payroll Cash Accounting team and actively sharpen operational controls to produce timely, accurate and efficient payroll reconciliations. Leveraging your strong analytical and technical skills to provide financial clarity to cross-functional partners.

    Job responsibilities

    • Reconcile and Validate Human Capital Management (HCM) Reports for proper Legal Entity and Element Classifications. Ability to identify any differences at the lowest level of detail.

    • Ensure all money movement and financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported timely and in accordance with accounting policies daily

    • Review, prepare, provide various SAP General Ledger Account and Demand Deposit Account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies on sophisticated/complex accounts.

    • Provide a high level of customer focus (Legal Entity and Line of Business Controllers) by ensuring all accounting inquiries are researched and responded to on a timely basis and regular interaction with all business areas to address inquiries and issues as they arise.     • Work closely with payroll partners during system updates to secure cash and regulatory compliance and support special projects within the US Payroll team

    • Evaluate and revise operating performance processes and procedures within the area to improve efficiency, provide excellent service, and support the department's business resiliency model.

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

    • 3+ years of Payroll Accounting and Cash processing; Experience with a large corporation preferred

    • Knowledge of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Payroll or Oracle Fusion Knowledge and SAP General Ledger

    • Proficient with MS Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel and able to work with complex formulas and pivot tables

    • Possess excellent analytical and technical skills, timeliness, and accuracy

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present recommendations to management
