Position : Part-Time Staff Accountant IILocation : Cincinnati, OHJob PurposeThis position will be responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of the new revenue recognition and lease accounting rules in order to manage the revenue recognition and lease review processes. The position will require management and ownership of the Revenue Management and LeaseQuery systems.Essential Functions+ Understand rules for revenue recognition and leases to review contracts to determine and document proper accounting 20%+ Work with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to obtain pricing support and manage on-going processes for the revenue contract reviews 20%+ Maintain the Revenue Management contract database to be used to track accounting treatment and disclosure status 20%+ Manage LeaseQuery tracking tool - set up leases, work with subsidiary accountants to review leases, book monthly entries and complete account reconciliations, and to provide qualitative and quantitative information for 10Q and 10K disclosures 30%+ Work with IT in order to implement any system updates that may affect the Revenue Management or LeaseQuery systems 10%EducationFour years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Accounting DegreeExperience / Background3 to 4 years of experience in Accounting or a related fieldSpecial Skills and Knowledge+ Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes+ Excellent communication skills; comfortable interacting with Management at all levels+ Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word+ Attention to detail and excellent organization skills+ SalesForce or LeaseQuery experience a plusCincinnati Bell has been connecting what matters for more than 145 years.
