    Logistics Specialist

    This role will function as a Logistics Specialist to assist with the planning, managing, and coordination of life-cycle logistics support for the C-130 System Modifications program office. Specific experience in operational logistics planning and management with the ability to perform independent work, provide logistics planning, scheduling, execution and support system effectiveness analysis, studies and evaluations.

    Job Description

    • Application of logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategy

    • Provide criticality analyses to support the Integrated Life Cycle Management (ILCM) of aeronautical systems for integrity programs encompassing AFLCMC aircraft's avionics, structures, propulsion, mechanical equipment, and subsystems

    • Apply Logistics Management and Planning Tools such as Government Furnished Property Acquisition Management System (GFPAMS) and More Value Support System (MVSS) with engineering and analytical disciplines to assess the processes and products used in the fabrication, manufacture, and installation of platform configurations. Review program documentation (e.g. concept, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency/change reports and program schedules) to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained

    • Assess/manage material and service deficiency reports IAW Technical Order (T.O.) 00-35D-54

    • Review production engineering changes, waivers, deviations, and/or alterations for their impact on performance, reliability, maintainability, availability, quality, safety and life cycle cost.

    • Provide technical analysis at pre/post-publication reviews and verification reviews of technical orders for both MIL-STD and COTS

    • Conduct Depot Source of Repair and Life Cycle Management Plan updates while considering cost and supportability factors during analysis of source of repair for designated systems and components in the supply chain

    • Utilize knowledge of USAF supply chain processes, governing policies, manuals, and instructions for implementation for program milestones

    • Identify training requirements and develop training plans

    • Provide analyses of configuration, deliveries, and deficiencies

    • Assist with the integration of training systems and maintenance training device requirements into production program plans and documentation

    • Ability to work independently as well as with other team members

    • Perform document review and editing, as requested

    • Participate in integrated logistics support management meetings, PMRs, and related meetings

    • Analyze, organize, plan and administer various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more basic programs using established procedures

    • Analyze basic contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements

    • Assist in developing logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies

    • Follow established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control

    • Assist in conducting distribution and network studies, monitor inventory and analyze requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times

    Required Education/Experience

    • BS/BA degree (or the equivalent combination of education and experience) and 8 years of relevant experience.

    • Knowledge of USAF supply chain processes, governing policies, manuals, and instructions for implementation for program milestones

    -Experience developing logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies

    • Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) experience

    Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • DAWIA Logistics Certification

    • C-130 experience a plus

    Security Clearance Requirement

    Eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance
