    Job Description:

    Logistics Manager

    • First-level manager responsible for managing the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.

    • Manage the logistics schedule and issue a resolution process.

    • Develop and manage the schedule, performance requirements and operates within a budget.

    • Identify and strategize cost reducing tactics and efficiency improvements that add value to business and customer operations.

    • Manage the workplace safety standards to ensure compliance.

    • Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews for supervisors and/or individual contributors.

    • Advise subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve logistics problems.

    • Build spreadsheets to track and manage multiple tasks.

    • Manage Navy inventory across several databases including MS Access, Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), and ERP.

    • QA subordinates reports to ensure accurate compliance with CDRL's.

    • Be proficient in the MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Access.

    • Maintain full accountability of Government Material at multiple locations.

    • Organize and manage a warehouse of 24,000 sq ft consisting of over 10,000-line items.

    • Capable of team building, mentoring, and developing subordinates.

    • Experience in working with other groups to achieve a common goal and meet the mission.

    • Ability to adapt and change as the customer requires.

    • 20+ years of experience

    • BA/BS degree

    Active secret security clearance required.
